Aggregate Resource Potential of the Nanaimo Area - Digital Data

This archive (nanaggpt.zip) contains the digital data used by the
Geological Survey Branch in the analysis of the aggregate resource
potential of the Nanaimo area. The results are published in digital
form only and should be cited as:

Massey, N.W.D., PGeo., A. Matheson, PGeo., and P.T. Bobrowsky, PGeo,
(1998); Aggregate Resource Potential of the Nanaimo Area (parts
	of NTS 92B12, 92B13, 92C09, 92C16, 92F01, 92F02, 92F07, 92F08,
92G01); B.C. Ministry of Energy and Mines, Open File 1998-12
	(digital data).

The data are presented as ArcView shape files. These can be imported
easily into Arcview or ArcInfo (as well as other GIS software packages).
The data can also be viewed in ArcExplorer, available for free download
from the ESRI web site -
http://www.esri.com/base/products/arcexplorer/arcexplorer.html.

***** NOTE: All data are referenced in geographic coordinates
(latitude/longitude) derived from NAD27-referenced maps. Users of
NAD83-referenced TRIM data may have to make appropriate conversions
before use of the files. An offset of up to ca. 200 metres may
otherwise result. *****
