Obsidian
| Obsidian is a natural volcanic glass. It is generally dark
in colour with a bright glassy lustre, though weathered surface can show a dull white
patina. It breaks with curved striated faces, like glass, known as conchoidal
fracture. Obsidian is not common in British Columbia. |
