Area of Expertise:

Regional geology, tectonics and mineral deposits from Fort St. James to the Yukon border, from Cassiar to Fort St. John. M.Sc. UBC 1976, Thesis topic "The origin of Georgia Basin"

Current Focus:  

One of chief instigators and co-leaders of the ongoing Ancient Pacific Margin Natmap Project, aimed at understanding the polydeformed and metamorphosed host rocks of early Mississippian VMS deposits typified by the Finlayson Lake belt.

Past Projects:

Extensive regional mapping projects over 16 years in northern and central B.C., including the Silvertip and Cassiar camps; Mt. Milligan and Takla Group in Nation Lakes region, central Quesnellia; Swift River area on B.C./Yukon border
