The Base Map Online Store has an IMF application
which allows you to zoom in to your area of interest to view
imagery such as Air Photos, Air Photo Scans, Orthophotos,
Satellite Imagery, Hillshades, and Digital Elevation Models.
Some of the imagery available here is not available on MTO. This
would provide an opportunity for you to see imagery that is
surrounding or near your mineral tenure area that might not be
available on MTO. The imagery can be viewed through your IMF,
printed, or purchased based on your needs.
How to access the Imagery?
Click on “Start” and login into the Base Map
Online Store through the main page. Click on either “Air Photo –
Hard Copy”, “Hillshaded Digital Elevation Model”, “Trim AT
Scan”, “TRIM Gridded Digital Elevation Model – 25m”, “TRIM
Orthophoto”, “TRIM Orthophoto Mosaic”, or “TRIM Orthophoto,
Partial (Less Than 50% Coverage)” to start the IMF.
Click on “Start”. Once in the IMF, zoom into your
area of interest. You can also find a location faster by using
the “Find Location” button at the top of the menu. Allows you to
go to a specific location using functions such as
Latitude/Longitude, Personal Bookmarks, Geographical Name, and
Mapsheet.
Once you are zoomed in at your
area of interest. Click on “Find Imagery”. There you can select
your Orthophotos, Satellite Imagery, and Hillshades etc. Click
on “Search For Orthophotos” button. If there are more then one
set of images available for your selection, you can select them
by clicking on the specific image on the bottom right of the IMF.
