Celebrating 150 Years of Mining Success

British Columbia is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Gold Rush
and the B.C. mining success story, and this year, during Mining Week, we are looking at the past and to the future.
B.C. is one of the world’s most important mining regions. Mining makes significant contributions to our province's economy, and the B.C. mining community is leading the way in protecting the environment and developing our natural resources in a sustainable manner.
Towards a Sustainable Future: 150 Years of Mining ( 1.79MB) documents B.C.’s mining success story and examines how this vital industry is embracing a sustainable future.
