Marketing Strategy

The Marketing Strategy (‘Strategy’) for the British Columbia Oil and Gas Service Sector was developed in response to Recommendation #4 of the Northeast BC oil and gas Service Sector Strategy. The Strategy is designed to assist the Northeast BC Service Sector in developing its competitive advantage and position it as the service provider of choice in the province’s rapidly growing oil and gas industry.

The strategy is directed towards small to medium-sized companies with limited resources to develop a plan, and a willingness to adopt a marketing approach to improve their business.  It also outlines the potential role of industry or other associations in Northeast BC that may represent the service sector; it links their activities with the activities of individual service providers.

The Ministry of Energy and Mines invites Northeast British Columbia oil and gas service providers to download the Strategy.  The Ministry is not responsible for the implementation of the Strategy or any of its elements.

Any questions regarding the strategy can be directed to Nichola Wade, Director, Service Sector and Partnerships Unit, Ministry of Energy and Mines at (250) 387-1585.
