Mining Rocks: Career and Job Opportunities Tour 2006 wrapped up in McLeod Lake on May 29, 2006. Approximately 1,500 people attended events in 24 communities around British Columbia, making the first-ever Mining Rocks Tour an enormous success. The Ministry would like to thank all of the people who helped organize Mining Rocks displays and presentations, and to everyone who came and checked out these terrific events. What is Mining Rocks?

Mining Rocks is a series of career and job fairs organized by the Ministry and held in various locations around the province in conjunction with B.C. educational institutions and the mineral exploration and mining industry. The audience includes the general public, First Nations, youth, and experienced resource workers looking for new career opportunities. Interactive presentations and displays are coordinated by the following participants:
