Geophysical Surveys and Data

The BC Geological Survey, Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Petroleum Resources arranges contractor-surveys and releases multisensor, airborne geophysical information for targeted areas throughout British Columbia.  The goal is to improve the Province's geoscience database and to provide reliable information about the Province's mineral potential through the use of state-of-the-art technologies.

The following recent surveys have been carried out in cooperation with the Geological Survey of Canada and various industry partners.  The geophysical datasets are available for display on the MapPlace and as downloadable files associated with the various publications.

Additional surveys conducted in 2004-2005 resulted in new compilations shown on the 2005 Geophysical Surveys Map.
