The MINFILE User's Manual and the MINFILE Coding Manual are available free of charge to users of MINFILE/pc and MINFILE/www.  Further information may be obtained by contacting the MINFILE Geologist.

User's Manual: This manual contains information on downloading, installing, and using MINFILE/pc and MINFILE/www.  The appendices contain code tables, a database structure, help sections and examples. The MINFILE/pc V. 5.0 User's Manual is available for viewing and has been archived ffor downloading and printing from the Web in .pdf format (use Adobe Reader).  An online condensed version is also available at http://minfile.gov.bc.ca/Help/MINFILE www/MINFILE_www.htm.

Coding Manual: Version 5.0 (an updated version of 4.5 - Information Circular 2004-4) is a guide to data specifications and codes used in MINFILE. This 110-page manual is used by geologists who research and input information into the database. It is available for viewing and has been archived for downloading and printing from the Web in .pdf format (use Adobe Reader).
