The Environmental Resource Information Project was designed by government to compile information about existing environmental baseline data, identify potential data gaps, and collect new information on a priority basis where a gap has been identified. The Environmental Resource Information Project (ERIP) is comprised of:

1. A searchable web-accessible information resource with the ability to customize search and report features related to a specific geographic area or a particular topic,

2. Reports on new environmental survey data (under construction), and

3. Information and summaries on community, First Nations and industry involvement in the ERIP project (under construction).
